The Wins You Can't Always Measure
One client spent 30 years (yes, you read that right) putting everyone else’s needs above her own - volunteering, catering to family expectations, and carrying an invisible weight that left her exhausted. Recently, she said no to a family request, kept her OWN plans as a priority, and woke up realizing she didn't have to carry the world anymore. Her world expanded.
Another client caught herself reaching for an after work bowl of sugary cereal out of stress, paused, asked herself "Is this actually what I need right now?", decided to THROW IT OUT.
It felt scary. She trusted herself anyway.
Another client spent years hiding her body - buying oversized clothes just to cover up and avoiding mirrors altogether.
Her words:
"I like looking at myself in the mirror now. I’m 45 and I look good. The growth and healing of looking in the mirror and liking what I see... today is awesome."
But one of my favorite wins?
A client stopped using food to quiet her inner critic, replacing self-punishment with self-compassion - going from asking "Why are you so stupid?" to telling herself "You are a brave, and you can do hard things."
Healing.
Peace.
Reclaiming yourself.
Freedom.
These are the changes I get really excited about.
Because they're evidence that something is changing underneath the behavior.
