What Happens When You Lay One Track at a Time

A year after we finished working together, a client reached out with an update.

Life had been busy, but along the way, he had lost 45 pounds, dropped 10 inches off his waist, and shifted fast food from a daily staple to an occasional meal that he intentionally shared with his wife.

What hit me hardest was that the biggest changes he was experiencing weren't really about food.

•He was saving money.

•He had more energy and clarity.

•He was building routines that supported the things he cared about.

•And he and his wife were cooking together and creating new experiences around food.

His world got bigger. 🌎

Instead of trying to change everything at once, he laid one track. Then another.

And eventually, he had enough evidence to believe: “I can find solutions to this problem.”

Maybe that's the real goal of behavior change.

Becoming someone who trusts themselves to figure out what comes next.

This week, ask yourself:

What's one piece of track I could lay?

(And hey, maybe your next track is just signing up for my newsletter so you get a few more ideas like this each week. 😉) lifelongdietbydesign.org
